Why do people think black metal so harshly?
I play drums in a black metal band and my parents do not understand why I like this type music. I love Death / Black metal and thrash. I hardly listen to anything. My parents think I'm Satan and all for me I am not a Satanist, but I'm not religious. I want to know what people of other inputs can give me the reasons why black metal is perceived so badly by those who have not. Besides the obvious reasons satanic and peak shipping and corpse paint.
