Sabian Cymbals

Sabian Cymbals
My Sabian B8 Hi-Hat's really weird. The pitch is very high when I hit the open hi-hats. Help?

I recently bought a farm of my uncle and I set up the battery. I just finished setting up my hat, and it sounds very strange. He said he was set at 10 years but I know it does not sound like it, regardless of age. At the very acute and I hate the play, Is this something the way I put it up (Because I'm new to the creation of a kit) or is it only with the hi-hat himself?

hi hats generally have the highest degree on a kit, right? I am not a drummer but I know that listening to music, cutting eq of 12-16kHz to get the top hat and nothing else. also, the harder you hit percussion, plus the height will be. softer playing will have the hat less weight in the mixture, and also to the lawn below. take the advice of a drummer, however, these are only guesses.
