How to clean stainless steel stove burned?
I got work today, put a heavy gauge steel steel, copper bottom pan with a little oil to heat for dinner. My husband called to an emergency and forgot the pan during approximately five minutes. When I returned to the stove was burned black and the oil caught fire as I rounded the corner. I put fire with salt since it was an oil fire and he is now on the steps back waiting for the smoke disapate. How do I clean it? It is burned BLACK. I'll admit I did not get to the sink and yet, since it is still hot but it is a new pan and I hate to think it is ruined. Any idea of cleaning? I always cooked for the cast steel STAINLES is a new experience. Advise please!
I'm so glad you ask. This is my favorite cleaning tip. Simply put flat eclectic washing liquid in the pan. Add just a little hot water. Soak overnight. The next day, just a brush and all parties.
